Business Development Manager


The Position
As our Business Development Manager, you will sit at the heart of what drives the success of our company, helping our landlords rent out their real estate, and helping our tenants find their new perfect home in Milan. You will turn customer contacts into leads, and leads into meaningful, long-lasting connections, building a relationship of trust with each of our clients.

You will work both with the supply side of our operation, helping landlords welcome newcomers to the wonderful city of Milan; and the demand side, assisting fresh homeseekers in finding the place they will come home in the capital of Lombardy. You will be involved in every part of our operation, making the position a holistic and thrilling mix of sales, customer service, and creative work, empowering you with a wide range of tools to solve real life problems for inspiring people. Our clients come from all over the world, and this exciting position will let you help people from every corner of the planet feel at home in Milan.

What You Will Do
The position sits at the very heart of our operation and mission of making Milan a friendlier place. You will work just as much with clients based abroad as those based in Milan; meaning that your days will be a thrilling combination of online work, and travelling around Milan to meet clients.

Your work with landlords will include finding and engaging new landlords who wish to find their new renters for their apartments through us, and maintaining relationships with existing landlord clients. Each rental will start with you meeting a landlord, understanding their needs, and photographing their apartment to bring out its beauty and to place the apartment online. Each apartment has its unique perks and its perfect tenant, making advertising each apartment an interesting and fun marketing challenge. You will work a range of social media and advertising tools to let you reach potential tenants, letting you excel in offering the right apartment to the right people.

Your work with tenants will start from helping them pick out and rent the perfect apartment for them. Our tenants come from all over the world, and each of them has their specific needs, questions, and concerns, and it will be up to you to understand how to serve each of our clients best and how to tailor our service to their requirements. Our work does not stop with a successful rental - we are a full service company, meaning that we stay in touch with our clients over the entire lifetime of a lease, assisting them in daily challenges, technical problems, and administrative aspects of their lives in Italy. In all this, we create meaningful connections that go over and beyond a simple business transaction and make this job truly inspiring.

Your days will rarely be the same, as your job will be fast-paced and will involve constant contact with people. Every customer deserves their unique, creative approach; each customer will have different questions about our services or have their own reservations that must be overcome, letting you think on your feet and adapt how you work to each customer’s style and needs.

What Is Needed Of You

  • Fluency in English and Italian

  • Good grasp of basic computer skills, preferably experience with CRMs

  • Outgoing personality - the position requires speaking to strangers

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, management, legal, marketing, or social sciences

  • Strong sales skills

  • Driving license valid for Italy

  • Any other languages spoken are a plus

    We are always looking for curricular interns. We are registered with Bocconi University as a JobGate employer, so your internship with Renting Milan may be counted for academic credit at Bocconi.

    Positions in Rome


    Branch Manager


    The Position
    As our Branch Manager, you will help us start up, develop, and run a new branch of our company in Rome. You will be responsible for managing our brand and service in a new city, giving you an opportunity to make a change in Rome: making the city friendlier and easier for many tenants; and helping Roman landlords obtain secure yields on their real estate and find happy new renters. Your work will equally involve creativity, administrative, marketing, sales, and customer service; making this an exciting, well-rounded job that will surprise you with new challenges every day and never leave you bored.

    What You Will Do
    The position involves a lot of autonomy and responsibility, letting you run a branch office of our company in Rome. Your engagement will start with a training period in Milan, during which you will learn the ins and outs of our work. You will then be tasked with running our branch office in Rome.
